A relaxing massage can help relieve stress; restore energy, relieve anxiety, increase immune function. The warm, soothing, tissue softening benefits of massage can help you cope with chronic conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia, or insomnia. Deeper therapeutic massage can help increase range of motion and reduce pain by releasing muscle trigger points, softening scar tissue, and kneading away muscle spasms associated with injury, chronic pain, and repetitive use.
Massage is a wonderful adjunct to chiropractic care. Some people prefer to have massage immediately before a chiropractic treatment to increase pliability of soft tissue; others like the muscle calming benefits after. Consult with your chiropractor to decide how massage may best fit into your care.
Over the years Mary has successfully worked with professional musicians, competitive and recreational athletes, those with fibromyalgia and arthritis, computer users, migraine sufferers, etc. (A physician’s consent may be requested for those with special medical concerns.)
