ABOUT US![]() ![]() Dr. Kristin E. Schaffer Chiropractor Dr. Schaffer is a proud graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University, and is excited to be treating patients at Grand Health Chiropractic. With an extensive ten year background in massage therapy treating primarily elite triathletes, as well as a background in personal training, Dr. Schaffer believes in a holistic approach to health care including good nutrition and lots of exercise. She knows well that what we put in our bodies greatly affects how well we function. With any given patient’s health condition, some of the first information she wants to know is specific facts about diet and exercise. This enthusiastic doctor enjoys treating a variety of conditions including migraine headaches, numbness and tingling in arms and hands, shoulder injuries, herniated discs, arthritis, and lots more. Dr. Schaffer is native to New Brighton, and has deep roots in St. Paul as her great grandmother, Georgia Emmel, was the first woman to run for political office in St. Paul in the 1920’s. Ask Dr. Schaffer about her gluten-free diet, her intake of vitamin D, and how these seemingly simple things can greatly affect your health. In her spare time, Dr. Schaffer enjoys waterskiing, mountain biking, lifting weights, and playing with her two labrador retrievers. Dr. Eric M. Lander Chiropractor Dr. Lander comes to Grand Health Chiropractic by way of South Carolina. Seeking out the best possible education, he chose Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington due to its cutting edge attitude of the philosophy of chiropractic. A former college decathlete, Dr. Lander has a wealth of experience with all sorts of sports injuries first hand, which he has used as a springboard for understanding and treating his patients. He was a multiple time ACC conference champion in three Track and Field events including the javelin, pole vault and decathlon. He is still an avid weightlifter and is training for the Olympic Trials in the javelin 2012. Dr. Lander is a proponent of fitness for everyone at all stages of life. Health can be as simple as what you eat, and simple choices you make throughout the day. Dr. Lander can be seen around St. Paul riding his bicycle, unicycle or throwing javelins at the park.
